A Brief Bio

1946 - Began my life in a ‘Displaced Persons’ camp in Germany. My father was a Holocaust survivor. We attempted to smuggle our way to Palestine aboard a freighter, caught by the British and sent to a refugee camp on Cyprus. Allowed entry to Israel in 1948. Immigrated to the US in 1960. US Army - 1967, served in Vietnam -1968-69. Became US citizen in 1970.
Worked for a Brooklyn, NY company disposing of Radioactive Waste - 1975-78. Began environmental art series (1976 - 1990).
1978 - Married, left NYC for the Hudson Valley (’86), started a family, worked in Real Estate. Helped create the Dorsky Museum at SUNY New Paltz (NY), 2001.
2016- Traveled to Vietnam for the first time in nearly 50 years for an art residency, exhibition & performance in Hanoi and the American Embassy.
